We started the pre-production stages by first creating a shot list, as a rough outline of how the short will play out. After this we started to transfer the basic shot information over to storyboard form.

1/10/2014
Today we continued with the storyboards as well as starting the other paperwork for the pre-production stage. We did some recces and started to fill out the paperwork for the locations. We also filled out the talent releases.

2/10/2014
We finished the storyboards and re-tuned the length of each shot so the short was exactly 90 seconds (at an estimate). Also, we continued with the location paperwork, making sure we had a risk assessment and a release form for each location.

3/10/2014
We finished the location paperwork and also finished the other paperwork needed; such as budgeting, prop/costume list and contact sheet. The paperwork we still need to finish is the production schedule, as we are still waiting for confirmation on when we can use one location.

6/10/2014
We continued with the paperwork, finishing any outstanding work. We also started to photograph the paperwork and censor personal information so it was ready to upload to our blogs.

8/10/14
We uploaded the pre-production paperwork to flipsnack and embedded them onto our separate blogs. This was so we could access the paperwork at any time if the physical copies were unavailable.

13/10/14
The first day of filming for our short, we filmed the office scenes as we could only use that location on this day. Afterwards we transferred all the video footage from the filming onto the computer ready for editing.

14/10/14
I was helping another group with their short this day and we were unable to continue production of our own short.

15/10/14
Today we filmed the segment in the college reception and afterwards transferred the footage onto the computer for editing later.

16/10/14
I brought in the footage from yesterday's after college filming and transfered it over to the computer. We also filmed the final shot, the interview with Death. Afterwards we transferred the footage and created the Premier Pro project file.

17/10/14
We started to organise the shots into the Premiere Pro project and had to discard just over a minutes worth of footage. By the end of the lesson we had a basic layout of the shots that was just over 90 seconds.

20/10/14
Today we started to polish up the short by adding titles, music and editing the sound of some shots. We also cut the short down to under 90 seconds, still keeping the crucial elements and the narrative intact.

21/10/14 to 23/10/14
Was not in college due to illness however all major editing had been completed.
